Hello, my name is Belina Carter-Pasula . Home town: Edmonton Location: Alberta, Canada MORE ABOUT ME... I created this wiki as a digital archive of my doctoral work. The best phrase to describe me is 'life-long learner'. Before moving to a landlocked province I grew up in a small coastal town on the eastern end of beautiful Prince Edward Island. Like many of my classmates, after graduating from high school I had to 'move away' to continue my education. My first move was to Halifax, NS where I attended Dalhousie University completing a BA (English) & BSc (Psychology). My next move was to Wofville, NS where I attended Acadia University completing a BEd (K-9 Generalist with a focus in Special Education). To secure a teaching job after graduation I had to move even further away- north of 60 in fact. I taught for 3 years in a remote, fly-in community in Nunavut and 1 year in the Yukon before moving to Edmonton in 2001. I live in Edmonton with my 7 year old daughter, Nathella, our cat, Mistoffelees, and two budgie birds. After settling into Edmonton, I began teaching forEdmonton Public School Board andthe tackled an MEd: Curriculum Studies (Learning & Technology) through Acadia University's on-line program as well as a second masters at the University of Alberta-MEd: Educational Psychology (Special Education). I also completed a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language at St. Mary's University and a certificate in Universal Design for Learning at Harvard University. I was a classroom teacher for 10+ years and currently am an educational consultant in Programs with EPSB. Needless to say, most of my life has been spent in the classroom, either as a learner or as a teacher and often times both! ------------------------------------------------------------ SAY HELLO!
